Tom Thomas was a Welsh professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s who at club level played for Wigan, and Merthyr Tydfil, playing at Centre, i.e. number 3 or 4.
Tom Thomas joined Merthyr Tydfil from Wigan during the 1908–09 season for £60, (based on increases in average earnings, this would be approximately £24,400 in 2009),[1] an amount that the Merthyr Tydfil's treasurer claimed he paid himself.[2]
